An iodine flask is unlike normal conical (Erlenmeyer) flasks. It is also called a titration flask that holds an iodine solution for titrations. Iodine flasks are usually conical in shape and have long necks.
Iodine solutions are usually very concentrated, so using an iodine flask made of materials such as borosilicate won’t react with the iodine is important. They are made of borosilicate glass, which can withstand high temperatures and resist chemicals. Iodine flasks typically have a capacity of 100 ml or more.
